What to include in your enquiry

The more of this you can tell us up front, the more useful our first reply will be. None of it is required — if you only know that you want to walk in Nepal, that is a fine place to start and we will work backwards from there.

  • Rough dates or a month. Season drives almost everything: trail conditions, whether a high pass is crossable, how far ahead we need to hold Lukla flights, and price.
  • How many of you. Group size sets the per-person rate on every trek we run, so a party of six pays meaningfully less each than a solo trekker on the same itinerary.
  • Which trek, or what kind of trip.“Something around ten days, not too high” is enough for us to suggest two or three routes that fit.
  • Any altitude history, injuries or dietary needs. These change which itinerary we recommend and how we build acclimatisation days.

When you'll hear back

We answer every enquiry within 24 hours, and usually the same working day. Our office runs on Nepal Standard Time (UTC+5:45), which is ahead of Europe and well ahead of the Americas — so a message sent in the evening from the US is typically answered while you sleep. WhatsApp is the fastest route if you are already travelling; email suits longer planning conversations with attachments.

You will be replying to the people who actually operate the trek, not a booking agent. Nothing is charged and no deposit is taken at the enquiry stage — a first reply is a proposed itinerary and a price breakdown, and you are free to walk away from it.

Visiting the office

We are based in Golfutar-8, Budhanilkantha, on the northern edge of Kathmandu, about 30 minutes from Thamel and 45 minutes from Tribhuvan International Airport depending on traffic. Trekkers already in Kathmandu are welcome to come in and go through maps and kit in person — message ahead so a guide who knows your route is there when you arrive. We arrange treks across Nepal from this one office, and also operate in Tibet and Bhutan through the wider Swotah Travel & Adventure network.
