Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

Your trust matters to us. This policy sets out, in plain language, how we handle the personal information you share when you plan a trek with Annapurna Trekking.

Who we are

Annapurna Trekking is the dedicated trekking brand of Swotah Travel & Adventure, a TAAN-registered travel agency based in Kathmandu, Nepal. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Annapurna Trekking and Swotah Travel & Adventure.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use annapurnatrekking.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect the details you give us through our enquiry and contact forms: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, group size, the trek you are interested in, and your message. We use these only to respond to your enquiry and plan your trek.

When you book, we may also collect passport details, emergency contacts, dietary needs, and insurance information required to operate your trek and arrange permits. We collect this directly from you, never from third parties.

Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which we use to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to enquiries, prepare itineraries and quotes, arrange permits and bookings, keep you informed about your trip, and meet legal and safety obligations. We do not use your details for automated decision-making.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time by replying or emailing us.

How we store and share your information

Enquiry and booking details are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Images on this site are delivered through Cloudinary. When you contact us by WhatsApp or email, those messages are handled by Meta and your email provider respectively.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above, with the guides and partners who operate your trek, and where we are required to by law.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies to keep it working and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well if you do.

Data retention

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to answer you and, if you book, for as long as required to run your trip and meet legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing. To make a request, email info@annapurnatrekking.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 except as part of a family booking made by a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it was last revised, and the current version always appears on this page.

Contact us

For any privacy question, contact Annapurna Trekking at info@annapurnatrekking.com or +977 984 159 5962, or write to us in Kathmandu, Nepal.
